Vita Group has acquired a new BTR site in Edinburgh from Watkin Jones. The in-development scheme is on a former industrial site on Iona Street, within easy reach of the universities and a short walk into the heart of Edinburgh city centre.

The development will be utilised by Vita Student the group’s leading student accommodation creating 285 new beds and easing pressures on local housing stock for local families. Vita Student is famed for creating the world’s best student accommodation and already operates within the city with Vita Student Fountainbridge.

The development will target BREEAM ‘Very Good’ ensuring it’s a high-performance building minimising its impact on the world’s energy supplies and will boast a host of industry leading amenities including private dining rooms, study rooms, a gym as well as communal living areas, creating a thriving community of students and providing them with the platform to make the most out of their studies in the city.

The development is expected to be completed in 2023.
