Vita Student staff support homeless refuge SCRATCH

Staff at Vita Student Richmond House in Southampton volunteer at homeless charity SCRATCH’s warehouse, supporting their vital work in the community.

Throughout spring, the team from Vita Student Richmond House have been giving up their time to help SCRATCH, sorting through donations coming into its busy warehouse. The charity plays a vital role in addressing the needs of homeless individuals, refugees, and those seeking refuge from domestic violence in Southamption.

With a high volume of stock moving through the warehouse everyday and making its way into the community the Vita volunteers got stuck in, helping to sort through products and creating packs which can be used to help those in need.

Bethanie Young, Residence Manager at Vita Student Richmond House said: “We are delighted to be able to support SCRATCH, when you visit their warehouse you realise the sheer scale of the operation and the amazing work they do day-in-day-out to help support those people in need in the community. It’s great to be able to play a part in that, helping those who need it most.”
