Vita Student offers a hand to The Bread and Butter Thing

Staff from Vita Student First Street offer their support to Trafford’s mobile food club, The Bread and Butter Thing. The Bread and Butter Thing helps to tackle food poverty and increase food quality for families across Manchester who struggle to afford healthier food options at supermarkets, selling great food at heavily discounted prices.

The team at Vita Student First Street volunteered their time to help load vans at the not-for-profit, organising deliveries destined for food hubs across Manchester and helping vulnerable families put decent quality food packed with goodness on the dinner table.

Vita Student First Street Residence Manager, Neil Stokoe said: “We are proud to have contributed to the fight against food poverty in our community, assisting The Bread and Butter Thing with its deliveries. We hope we have been able to make a tangible difference in the lives of those facing financial constraints, everyone deserves access to nutritious and affordable food, and we are committed to playing our part in addressing this issue.”
