Staff and students from Vita Student Richmond House in Southampton have taken to the streets of Southampton to help spruce them up, ridding them of litter.
In total, six students and two members from Vita Student Richmond House have been giving up their time to help give back to the local community in the form of a litter pick, collecting discarded litter surrounding the residence on College Street, Richmond Street and Terminus Terrace in the city centre.
Bethanie Young, Residence Manager at Vita Student Richmond House said: “Students often get tarnished with not caring enough about the neighbourhood they live in, but things are different here at Richmond House, our residents love to get out and help to give back to the local community. It’s amazing to see how a little effort can make such a big difference, in total we collected over 50kg of litter!”
